Naturally sustainable.
This method of cacao cultivation, which has been practiced in the region for more than 200 years, has inspired other agroforestry systems.
The cacao plants grow in the shade of trees native to the Atlantic ecosystem.
The cacao forests coexist with plant and animal species and the soil is preserved
for cultivation, unlike other growing areas, and is not deforested.
Absolutely exemplary.
Due to the steadily decreasing cacao price that producers receive, cacao forests are
increasingly declining and being converted into cattle pastures and other plantations
that are more economical for landowners.
We want to preserve the traditional cocoa cultivation. We love our product.
And at the same time we secure the existence of the rainforest.
It doesn't get any better than that.
